Dr. Wallach's real "good food, bad food" list — in plain English, with the why behind each one and what to reach for instead.
Oils (yes, olive), fried food, gluten grains, well-done meat, nitrates, carbonation timing, fake spreads, popcorn, rancid nut oils, and one nobody expects.
The whole guide on one page — Avoid on the left, Embrace on the right, plus his four rules of thumb.
The exact ingredient words that mean hidden oil, hidden gluten, or hidden nitrites — no matter what the front of the box says.

Ten foods, in plain English — with what to reach for instead.
Yes, even olive oil — his most surprising call, and the reasoning behind it.
Plus the one word on a label that gives a "baked" snack away.

Dr. Joel D. Wallach (BS, DVM, ND) is a veterinarian and naturopathic physician who, together with his wife Dr. Ma Lan, performed more than 20,000 autopsies across 454 animal species and 3,000 humans — and kept finding the same thing: nutritional deficiency. In 1991, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine by the Association of Eclectic Physicians for his selenium research.
He is now retired. This guide is a taste of the "good food, bad food" chapter of his work; his books carry the full case.
