The home reference the medical establishment would rather you didn't own
Let's Play Doctor is Dr. Joel Wallach and Dr. Ma Lan's self-health manual — the book that teaches ordinary people to read their own lab reports, understand what's on a prescription before filling it, and look up roughly 400 common conditions alongside the vitamins, minerals, and herbs the authors associate with each one.
The title is the point: the authors believe you should be an active participant in your own health, not a passive customer. Continuously in print since 1989 across seven editions — a shelf reference families keep for decades.
Paperback: $19.95
This is the book you pull off the shelf when something comes up — organized by topic so you can go straight to the condition you're curious about and see the authors' nutritional approach in minutes. It's the natural companion to Dead Doctors Don't Lie: that book gives you the argument; this one gives you the lookup table.
